It has been too hot here in Rome even to think about working on something..
Moreover I've been on holiday for a while and wanted just to relax without doing anything!
Now, I've got something new for you:
A very dainty necklace made by three chains with leaves and a white flower, that closes by a crochet ring behind the flower through which pass the strands. It was quite hard to explain it, but I hope you'll understand this pattern.
For any problem just contact me, and I'll be happy to help!
Here it is:
Materials:
4.00mm hook
Cream White Cotton yarn (worsted weight) for the flower
Green Cotton yarn (worsted weight) for the stems and ring
The Necklace:
Crochet Ring:
Wind the yarn 5 times around the left hand's forefinger and the middle finger.
Insert the hook under the 5 strands in the direction of the palm, yarn over hook and fasten the strands with a simple crochet stitch.
Work 24 sc in the ring made by the 5 strands.
Sl st to first sc to close ring.
Don't cut the yarn.
Three Stems with Leaves:
1st Stem: Chain 115.
Leaf: Sc in second chain from hook, 1hdc, 1dc, 1 hdc, 1sc. Turn and work 1sc, 1hdc, 1dc, 1hdc, 1sc in the opposite side of the just worked stitches. Sl st to first sc to close the leaf. Cut yarn and weave in end.
2nd Stem: Attach yarn on the sc of the ring that is next to the first stem chain. Chain 105.
Work as for the first leaf.
3rd Stem: Attach yarn on the sc of the ring that is next to the second stem chain. Chain 125.
Work as for the first leaf.
The Flower:
Bottom Layer:
Chain 3, sl st to make ring.
Chain 3 and work 11 dc in ring. Sl st to third chain of beginning ch3. (12dc)
*4dc in next dc, sc in next dc*. Repeat from * but ending with a sl st on last dc to close round.
Cut yarn and weave in end.
Top layer:
Chain 4, sl st to make ring.
*Chain 3 and sc in ring*, repeat from* four times more. Sl st to close round. (You'll have 5 petals)
Work in each chain loop of previous round: 1sc, 3dc, 1sc.
Cut yarn and weave in end.
Sew the two flower leyers together, the top layer on the bottom one, and sew a nice button on the center.
Finishing:
Sew the flower between the ring and the three stems chains, leaving a space in the ring through which you'll pass the three strands to fasten you necklace around your neck!
Hope you'll enjoy!

What a great project! I just made it- took about an hour all together- and I can't wait to wear it tomorrow! I had some scrap sock yarn in some great colors, so I tried it, and it made a nice smaller/delicate version. The only thing I had to do differently was add a few more chains to the stems.
Thanks for the wonderful pattern- I can't wait to try out your others!
It's very nice !!!

Your items are absolutely beautiful!! Please come back & show us what you have been making :)
Could you by chance post a close up of the flower? My bottom piece has 6 petals, is that correct?
Hi Mandie, that's correct, the flower's bottom layer has 6 petals and the top one only five!!This way you can sew the top layer with each petal laying in the space between two bottom petals.
Ciao!

I am new to crochet-ing and flower making =) On the top layer, when it says "chain loop" does the SC count towards that, or am I just working in the 3 chains I made before SC'ing into the center of the flower.
BTW your patterns are all very beautiful I love this necklace and the headband too, well all of your patterns are amazing!!
This is amazingly cute! I am going to feature this on my blog tomorrow! : )

I just made this, and it turned out so pretty! It was very simple to make, great instructions. I did it all cream colored, and then put little plastic gems into the petals of the flower for a pop of color and bling. Super cute! Thanks for the wonderful pattern.

This is such a cute necklace, and so very fast and easy to make.
When you start the other side of the leaf, where do you make the stitch? J. James

All your designs are very beautiful. Thanks for sharing. Have a great day!
thank you for the lovely pattern. i am new to the crochet hook, so i might be giving you a plea when i get into it! i'm going to use silk and a 3 hook , its all ive got. greetings to you in rome, love an australian.xx
hii,i would like to crochet this beatiful necklace, but i do not understand the abreviations!!!
can any body explain me please?
thankksss bye
I run a theatre group for children and I used this pattern to make part of the costumes for the fairies in our production of A Midsummer Night's Dream (in Greek). I used the flowers separately to make headresses, making lots of them in pastels, silvers and gold and then sewing them together as a helmet with stem and leaf trailers on the tops, skirts and cloaks. Fantastic! Thank you very much.
Hi, I'm really impressed with your beautiful work!!!Thanks for sharing your cute and feminines patterns. I'm just a beginner, but I fell in love with your bow!!!!So cute!!!
Great work, great art!!!
Thanks again.
Love it! I made one up very quickly and it looks very pretty and vintage. The only part that was hard to understand was how/where exactly to sew the flower onto the ring...so not sure if I did it per the pattern, but it worked the way I did it anyway. I LOVE THIS and will be making them in all different colors!
I LOVE THIS! I had a bit of trouble figuring out where/how to sew the flower on, but I just "winged" it and it works the way I did it. Just not sure if I did it the "correct" way. I love this though and will be making lots of colors!
that's a very unique necklace.
This necklace is a beautiful, you are very talented. keep it up and we will be waiting for your next post.
Perhaps I´m a bit slow but could you explain the following:
Wind the yarn 5 times around the left hand's forefinger and the middle finger.
Insert the hook under the 5 strands in the direction of the palm, yarn over hook and fasten the strands with a simple crochet stitch.
I can understand winding the yard around the forefinger and inserting the hook, but where and how and why do I need to insert it in the middle finger?
Thanks a lot for this gorgeous necklace, this is so lovely! And so quickly done!!!
My sweet mother crocheted a flower for me a while back and this will be such a lovely way to show it off! I really apprciate that you've allowed us to use it. Thank you for sharing your talent!
This is beautiful! I found your blog through a Ravelry member. My sister in law is taking me to Italy in June. Do you know a blog/website I can go to to see what Italian women are wearing for casual wear?
I can't wait to go! Your blog is deliciously beautiful!
I'm a beginner and this was my first time doing more than a granny square. It took me a couple of tries to figure out the flower (had to watch a youtube vid), but eventually I got it figured out. It looks great! Thanks for the pattern!
Thanks for the free pattern! It's beautiful; I look forward to making it.
Just marry me. I was afraid the pattern would be crazy hard, and it isn't at all.
Hi, Just a beginner on crocheting. I'd like to get some clarification. After I close the crochet ring with a slipped stitch, do I continue with that yarn to chain 115 or do I keep the crochet ring off to the side? Thanks so much!
This necklace is so pretty. Thankyou for your generosity in sharing the pattern.
Merci beaucoup pour ce tuto très bien expliqué, félicitations pour ce ravissant collier qui est également très original
I've made four of these for friends and family now. As soon as someone sees the other wearing one, they want to know why I haven't made them one yet. :) Thank you so much for sharing. You really have a great creative eye!
This is so beautiful, thank you for sharing it with us :)
it's just adorable!, I am going to try to make one for my sister, I think I will surprise her. Thank you very much for the pattern.

One of the loveliest crochet flower necklaces I have come across! I saw it featured in a couple of places. I will feature and link to it on my blog in a future post so others can come visit!
Love this ....but I dont know how to crochet....can someone make it for me?????!!
Thanks for the great pattern. I whipped this up in 30 minutes! Gorgeous.
I love this! Only problem, can you take photos of this in progress? I am a visual person and reading these directions is more than I can handle. Like, the 5x around the fingers and then do something with a crochet hook. I can crochet anything, but can't follow written directions. Help!
Hi, I love this pattern and I want to try making this. However, I don't under how to make a Crochet Ring which is the very first step for this pattern. Can someone explain to me please? Thanks in advance!
Help! I made it and it is lovely. But I must have done something wrong, because it will not stay in place around my neck. The weight of the flower causes it to gradually slip down the stems. I left an opening at the top and bottom of the stem circle. I put the stems through the top and the bottom. What did I do wrong?
Thanks for further instruction!
Ciao,
bellissimi i tuoi tutorial...
non hai disponibile la versione italiana? Il mio inglese ormai è disastroso...
Grazie
