Necktie with Bow free pattern

A girl named Melissa asked me to share the pattern for this necktie with bow and I'm very happy to do so!
Here you can see it in two different colors: black and white and brick orange.
The pattern it's very very easy:

Materials:
For the bow:
Scraps of wool in any color you like. (DK weight yarn)
4.00mm hook
For the chocker:
Scraps of wool in any color you like. (DK weight yarn)
5.50mm hook

Bow:
Ch20, hdc in third ch from hook, and in each ch across, turn.
Row 1: ch2, hdc in next st and in each across, turn.
Rows 2-5: repeat row1.
Cut yarn and weave in ends.
Bow centre:
Ch8, hdc in third ch from hook, and in each ch across.
Sew bow center around bow, gathering the middle of the bow and joining edges of bow centre.

Chocker:
Ch 54, dc in third chain from hook and in each chain across.
Cut yarn and wave in all ends.

Finishing:
Sew the bow on the fifth dc of one end of the chocker.
Sew a button on the third dc at the same extremity where the bow is, but on the other side.
Enjoy your new neck tie!

I take the chance with this post to thank all of my blog's readers, all of you who leave nice comments and keep on following me even if I'm not writing a lot in this last months!
I wish you all the best and a very special 2009!
Thanks again to everybody!!
Ciao,
Marta

Stumbled across your blog and have never had any interest in crochet, but your stuff is awesome. I might just take it up! If I do it now, I'll have time to make things for my beautiful sisters for next Christmas . . . maybe.

I can't wait to try some of these patterns. I'm a novice crocheter and am slightly terrified of larger projects. These look like the perfect size!! Thanks for sharing such cute/functional patterns!

You have such a talent!! I can't wait to try some of your other patterns. I am actually still working on the puff-stitch beret, because I keep managing to make it waaaaay to large. But it is such a beautiful hat!!!! (My mother said it would make a wonderful toilet-seat cover... I told you I was making it enormous!)
I can't wait to see what else you have to share.
I think, when I finally finish the hat to my liking, I will send you a photo because I will be very proud of myself indeed!
Hope the weather is warm in Rome... buona pasqua, grazie mille!

I wanted to say thank you for all of your wonderful patterns. I think it's great that you share them with the world. I'm just starting to crochet more (all I've done in the past has been straight patterns like scarves :/) I really want to improve and do some more complicated patterns. I'm going to give all of your beautiful headbands and wristlets a try!

Thanks again!! :)
